Revv Social App Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 16, 2026

Welcome to the Privacy Policy for Revv Social ("we", "our", "the App"), an application published and developed by Edena Labs.

We place a high value on protecting your personal data. This document aims to be completely transparent about what data we collect, how we use it, and why we absolutely need it to operate the social features of the application.

By downloading, accessing, or using Revv Social, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Collected Data and Purposes of Use

Revv Social is a social network dedicated to automotive enthusiasts. The essence of our application is to share posts ("Builds", meets), interact, and communicate.

For these features to work, we request access to the following data on your device:

A. Camera, Gallery and Media (Photos / Videos)

  • Why do we use it? You need to use your phone's camera or gallery to add a profile picture, create a post showing your vehicle (Build), or send an image in our built-in messaging.
  • Storage: Your publicly posted media remains on your profile. Media sent in private or group chats are stored on secure servers (AWS / Supabase) to make them accessible to your correspondents. We use your media exclusively to display them within the application ecosystem.

B. Geographical Location Information

  • Why do we use it? Location (often required with "While using the app" or "Always" permission depending on your choices) is used to show you automotive events (Meets) or vehicles of other enthusiasts located near you.
  • What you share: Depending on your privacy settings in the app, post information (like event dates) can share geographical positions.

C. Personal and Account Information

  • During registration, we collect basic data to create your profile: email address, first name, last name or username.
  • We also collect any text content you willingly publish (Chat messages, Post descriptions, Vehicle specifications).

D. Biometric Data (FaceID / Fingerprint)

  • Why do we use it? The application may require your biometric authentication to secure its opening or protect chats via your device's native mechanisms.
  • Storage: We do not collect, store, or transmit your biometric data to our servers. Authentication is processed 100% locally and highly securely by your phone's operating system.

E. Notifications Push and Device Identifiers

  • Why do we use it? To alert you of new messages, interactions on your vehicles (Builds) or events (Meets) in real-time.
  • What you share: The application generates a secure device token allowing us to target you for these notification sends in an anonymized manner.

2. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
However, for Revv Social's modern technical infrastructure to function, we use market-leading third-party services, compliant with security standards, with whom some operational data is shared:

  • Supabase: Provider of our secure database and authentication system.
  • Firebase (Google Cloud): Used to analyze application crashes (Analytics) and manage the delivery of your notifications (Push Notifications).
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): Used for highly secure hosting of your photos (profiles, vehicles, chats) via our media management microservices.
  • Google Maps: Used for map display and selection of meeting locations (Meets). Google's privacy policy applies to your use of these maps.

*Note: Messaging includes an encryption system (End-To-End Encryption E2EE enabled) to secure your exchanges. Even our databases cannot natively read these encrypted requests.*

3. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Moderation

The safety of our community is paramount. By posting on Revv Social, you agree to abide by the terms of use.
If other users believe your content violates our rules (hateful content, nudity, illegal resale), they have a tool to:

  1. Report a post, profile or message directly.
  2. Block a user unilaterally.

*Our team reserves the right to block an account or delete media within 24 hours in case of a proven report of violation of our terms by a Revv Social user.*

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You retain full control over your personal data. You can, from your account settings within Revv Social, choose to delete your account at any time.

What happens upon account deletion?

  • All basic data (name, email) and active traces concerning you are made inaccessible then purged from our databases within routine timeframes (up to 30 days maximum to purge security backups).
  • You also have the possibility to contact us to demand a deletion or request the export of everything attached to your email ("Right to be forgotten").

5. Changes to this Policy

The Edena Labs application and the Revv Social experience are constantly evolving. As we add new features, we may need to update this document. Any modification will be reflected by a change in the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy, and active users will be notified according to prevailing rules.
